The Exchange Club sponsored child abuse prevention
center provides
a wide range of services to meet the individual needs of
families. Current
programs include:
in-home parenting education and role modeling,
in-home family based case management,
community parenting classes, and
case management to pregnant women and teens.
The Center serves:
parents who feel overwhelmed and/or out of control,
parents who were abused or neglected as children,
families with children who have ongoing medical needs,
and
families in crisis.
Volunteer Parent Aides are needed!
Volunteer Aides visit with at-risk families from one to
four hours weekly to:
model appropriate and positive parenting skills,
develop positive self-concepts and good problem-solving
skills,
assist families in setting priorities,
set limits with the families for the development of
external control,
and provide other related services.
Comprehensive training is provided.
